Fourth of July 2008

Did you have a good holiday weekend? We spent it on Gull Lake with Steve's family. This is the new house we stayed at. Well, it's an old house, but new for them, and they are doing an extensive renovation. It was amazing:

This is what happens when you forget to feed the kids lunch. Someone brought a bag of Tostitos and a jar of salsa down to the dock. It was like a flock of seagulls! Everyone grabbing chips and trying to dip them into the jar.

After chips and salsa, nothing is better than some tubing:

We all get together at Grandma and Papa's house for Christmas.

Everyone got their tripods out to take some group photos. I can set my camera up to delay 10 seconds and then take a bunch of pictures in a row. It was like the paparazzi were there with all the flashes going off from all the cameras. First we got just the grandkids


Then we added Grandma and Papa.


Then the moms and dads jumped in.

Chloe's Party

I came across this picture in a box while looking for a picture Jake needed for school. I believe this was Chloe's birthday party. Carolyn looks like she is having fun. Jake and Chloe - not so much.

Easter Eggs and Snow

We have had some weird weather in April. The weekend before spring break was very warm, but it has gotten very cold since then. 20 degrees in April is not fun!! We had to have our Easter egg hunt indoors since it was in the 20s on Easter Sunday:

The weather is even worse today. Snow on Spring Break!! I told the kids to just pretend it is a snow day, but they just give me strange looks....

Since I have loaded pictures of the Rytkonen cousins, I figure I need to give the Hardin cousins equal time. I am missing the California girls, though, so maybe if Kim or Chris are reading this, and they have a picture of the whole group, they will send it to me.

Twins

Every Friday, Carolyn and her cousin Amanda attend AWANA , and each night they have a theme. Last night it was twin night. Auntie Robin got them matching shirts from Kohl's and Amanda lent Carolyn an old pair of glasses without the lenses.

My Baby is 10!!

We celebrated Carolyn's birthday on Sunday. Her actual birthday was 2/25, but due to blizzards and hockey games, we didn't have her party until 3/4. My brothers were unable to attend, but their wives and kids were in attendance. Grandma and Papa had already left for Florida, so we missed them too!!
