Carolyn had the good fortune to get to compete in the state hockey tournament for the third year in a row. Poor Jake has been skating for 10 years and has only gotten to go once. Two years ago Carolyn was on the Mite C team. There was no C tournament at the C level, so they competed in the B tournament. They made it to the finals and had to play the B team from our own hockey club, SHAW. Last year Carolyn was on one of SHAW's Squirt Teams - Squirt Red. Her team advanced to the third place game and had to play the other SHAW squirt team - Squirt Black. Both times her team lost. This year she is on Squirt B. They lost their first game, but won the next two, which earned them the Consolation Championship. (The winners of the losers). And we didn't have to play another SHAW team for once.
I tried to get her accepting her medal, but of course my camera didn't click the first time I pushed the button, so here she is skating away after getting her medal:

Here's the team hoisting their trophy.

Here is the team posing with their trophy, Steve and Carolyn are on the left in the back.

Here she is with two kids that have been on her team the last three years.

And here are a few more skaters thrown in for good measure:
